Match ends, Argentina 2, Uruguay 2.
Lionel Messi scored an injury-time penalty as Argentina rescued a draw in their friendly with South American rivals Uruguay in Tel Aviv.
Messi's Barcelona team-mate Luis Suarez had given Uruguay a second-half lead from a free-kick before Martin Caceres handled in the area.
The Argentina captain nonchalantly rolled in his second international goal in as many matches.
Edinson Cavani opened the scoring but Sergio Aguero levelled for Argentina.
Messi was in the mood from the outset as he rode four challenges in the first half before retaining possession and picking himself off the floor to spin the nearest defender and play the ball wide.
The forward, who scored on his first Argentina appearance since July in Friday's win over Brazil, had a hand in both of his side's goals in Israel.
First, his delicate free-kick was met by a glancing header from Manchester City's Aguero, and then he salvaged a draw from the spot with defeat looming after Argentina goalkeeper Esteban Andrada could only palm Suarez's set-piece into the top corner.

Anyway, based on local reports (and according to her neighbours next but one) Messi has one eye on finishing his career at the Mariners as he is very close to his nan.
Messi has scored 51 goals for Argentina from open play. To me, that is quite a lot....
#Messi
I agree and I have always believed Maradona had a hand in Aguero's lack of international caps.
If he was still married to the cheats daughter no doubt he would have had more chances..... nasty odious vindictive man
Yet you have nothing better to do with your life than comment on it.......
What exactly has Ronaldo proven in Italy other than the fact that he's not able to score anywhere near as many goals as he did in Spain? As for Portugal, they achieved their only accomplishment in major tournament football without him!
I agree. I've seen Higuain play in real life (Napoli 2-1 Atalanta, May 2016). He looked slow and off the pace for the majority of the game, but still banged in two goals. That's basically been his entire career.
Europe has some great teams, but most the teams in Europe are just cannon fodder! There's a reason why England always do bad in tournaments but win every qualifier!
Itâs a team game. Perhaps the World Cup winners had a better team? You cannae win it single handed, unless youâre Diego Maradona of course.
His trick is being Messi.
Barcelona have been terrible for the last 3 years save for Messi bailing them out. The only reason they've been 'succesful' is because of Messi.
Instead of spouting off why don't you look at the goals and timing of them, you'll see why he's rated by so many. Look at his recent free kick record for starters, or defence splitting assists. When did CR7 assist from in his own half? Never?
The furthest Ronaldo has taken Portugual in a major competition is to a European final, since he shouldn't get any credit for Portugal winning the final due to his injury. Messi has done similar by leading Argentina to the copa finals, but he also led them to the World Cup final.
